Disclaimer

Read this before acting on anything Foundry HR, or Gene on our behalf, produces for you.

Nothing on this site, and nothing we produce, is legal advice. Foundry HR is not a law firm. Using this site, running the free exposure read, or receiving a Deliverable does not create an attorney-client relationship, and no content we produce is a substitute for advice from your own qualified employment counsel.

1. The exposure read and free assessment are a starting point, not a final answer

The instant exposure read is a deterministic, rules-based tool keyed only to the headcount, states and industry you type in. It does not see, and cannot evaluate, your actual policies, employment agreements, independent-contractor arrangements, exempt/non-exempt classifications, or local ordinances. The fuller findings from the free HR compliance assessment go deeper but remain a starting point reviewed by a qualified human — not a certification that your company is compliant, and not a substitute for a full audit by counsel where the stakes warrant it.

2. No warranty on accuracy or completeness

We work to keep our rules table and Deliverables current, and every Deliverable is reviewed by a qualified human, but employment and labor law changes constantly — federal, state, and sometimes municipal — and information can become outdated or contain errors. Your state labor agency, the U.S. Department of Labor, and your own counsel are the authoritative sources — always confirm before making a personnel decision with legal consequences.

3. No guaranteed outcome

Following our findings, policy drafts, or Deliverables does not guarantee that your company will avoid an audit finding, a claim, a penalty, or litigation. HR compliance risk depends on facts specific to your company that we may not have, and on how you implement any recommendation.

4. Do your own diligence

Read the underlying statute or regulation we cite. Confirm state-specific rules with a licensed attorney in that state, especially before a termination, a reclassification, or a policy change with real legal exposure. If a finding or Deliverable only makes sense at a rushed pace, slow down and get a second opinion. Nothing we produce is a substitute for this.

5. Third-party links and tools

Where this site links to or references a third-party service (for example, Stripe for payment, or Google for reCAPTCHA or analytics if we add them), that service's own terms and privacy policy govern your use of it — we are not responsible for third-party sites or services.
